Day 10 live updates from the 2023 Asian Games: On a challenging surface, Team India held off a comeback by Nepal as Yashasvi Jaiswal’s outstanding century (100), Rinku Singh’s late blitzkrieg (37*), and an all-around bowling performance guided the team to a 23-run victory.
India advanced to the men’s cricket tournament semi-finals with the victory. India also got off to a good start in the men’s kabaddi competition, defeating Bangladesh 55-18, and the women’s hockey team defeated Hong Kong China with a clear score of 13-0.
With Ojas Pravin Deotale and Abhishek Sharma setting up an all-Indian final in the men’s event and Jyothi Surekha Vennam also making it to the women’s final, Indians dominated the compound event in archery.
Asian Games Live Update (PTI) for 2023
Both HS Prannoy and PV Sindhu barely broke a sweat to go to the round of 16 in badminton. In the women’s 800 m race, Kumari Chanda and Harmilan Bains qualified for the final, while India also made it to the men’s 4×400 m final.
Tejaswin Shankar will be watched closely as he attempts to place first on the podium in the men’s decathlon.
Parul Chaudhary, who took home silver in the women’s 3000m steeplechase on Monday, will line up for India in the women’s 5000m final in Hangzhou and attempt to win a second medal.
Annu Rani will be aiming to improve upon the medal she earned in the women’s javelin final at the 2014 Asian Games. India earned 13 gold medals, 24 silver medals, and 24 bronze medals on Monday, bringing its total to 60.
